The City of Irvine, in partnership with the Orange County Armenian Genocide Memorial Committee, is hosting a site dedication for the future Armenian Genocide Memorial to be located in the Great Park. The City of Irvine is home to a large and active Armenian American community, and the memorial will serve as an abstract or personified concept representing a memorializing of the tragedies of the past, the present thriving community, and the hopeful aspirations for the future. The site dedication and future memorial signify a beacon of hope.

On Tuesday, May 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hangar 244 at Great Park, the City of Irvine will host a Great Park Development Open House to introduce community members and residents to the future of the park. Carefully curated partners involved in this next phase of development — the Great Park Framework Plan — will be on-site and available to discuss their vision, plans, and next steps.

At CicloIrvine, there will be two stages at either ends of the route, and there will also be strolling mariachis, engaging community booths, and interactive activities. Check back closer to the event for a complete schedule of performances and activities.
