Sizzlin' Summer Concerts
The City of Irvine's Sizzlin' Summer Concert series returns to Mike Ward Community Park - Woodbridge this summer with a series of free, family-friendly concerts. Gourmet food trucks and a children's play area will also be available. A portion of the proceeds from food sales will benefit Irvine nonprofit organizations.

This year's performances will include:

  • Sunday, July 20 - The Derek Bordeaux Group For more than 25 years, Derek Bordeaux has become one of the most sought after artists in California for his sultry renditions of Motown classics, jazz, R&B, and Blues standards.
  • Sunday, July 27 - Symphony in the Cities   Join us for a must-do summer tradition - a free outdoor concert by Pacific Symphony, led by Music Director at Carl St. Clair who is celebrating his 25th season with the Symphony! A "Musical Playground" for children takes place at 5:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 3 - Sensation Show Band Sensation Show Band is a WOW experience! Action packed performances include disco to rock, swing to pop, Motown and more!
  • Sunday, August 10 - Springsteen: The Premier Tribute to the Boss Springsteen delivers an authentic re-enactment of a Bruce Springsteen concert that will thrill even the most dedicated Bruce fans!
  • Sunday, August 17 - Stone Soul Since 2002, Stone Soul has been entertaining thousands of delighted fans with their spot-on covers of Soul and Motown classics. Enjoy timeless hits from legendary artists like Stevie Wonder, James Brown, The Temptations and more!
  • Sunday, August 24 - Kelly Rae Band Co-presented by the Woodbridge Village Association, The Kelly Rae Band plays a wide range of Country chart-topping favorites from Patsy Cline and Buck Owens to Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift.

Things to bring: chairs, blankets, sweatshirts, picnics or plan on enjoying a specialty item from one of the gourmet food trucks. Long pants, closed toed shoes and layered clothing are strongly recommended.
