Wednesday evening, February 1st, the Emergency Management Unit hosted what they hope will be a monthly training event for Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members. The informative and always entertaining Sergeant van der Sluys Veer, presented information for CERT volunteers that they can take back to their neighborhoods and share with their family and friends.

On Monday, December 05, 2011, Police Officer Christopher King was sworn in by Chief Maggard in the Conference and Training Center. Officer King graduated from the Orange County Sheriff’s Basic Academy Thursday December 1st. The graduation was attended by Deputy Chief Noble, Lieutenant Allan, Sergeant Egan and Officer Casas.

On Thursday, November 10, 2011, friends and family filled the briefing room to say goodbye to Officer Joel Davis who is retiring after 25 years of service. Officer Davis began his career in law enforcement at the Grand Junction Colorado Police Department in 1980. Later that year he moved to California and took a job as a San Marino Police Officer.
