Orange County Great Park to Present Art Exhibition Tom Brown: In the Open Air

IRVINE, CA (January 28, 2015):  The Orange County Great Park will present the art exhibition Tom Brown: In the Open Air February 14-May 10, 2015 at the Great Park Gallery. An opening reception will be held on Sunday, February 15 from 1-3 p.m.

Tom Brown: In the Open Air is an exhibition featuring vibrant impressionistic oil paintings of Orange County landscapes created by artist Tom Brown. The exhibition also includes lectures, workshops, a canvas installation detailing the painting process in weekly progressions and a collection of Plein Air work created by Brown’s former students.

Brown has lived in Southern California since the 1980s. His oil paintings are known for their bold, confident brushwork that vibrates with energy and captures the light and beauty of the California landscape. His paintings have been exhibited in galleries nationwide. His works are also featured in corporate collections at Sears, Standard Oil and Coca Cola and showcased in American Art Collector, Art Calendar, Southwest Art, Art & Antiques, American Art Review and other leading art publications.
