Irvine Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Burglary Suspect

Irvine, CA (June 3, 2015): The Irvine Police Department is seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect involved in a residential burglary.

The suspect is described as male, fair complexion, possibly Asian, age 20 to 23, 5’6” to 5’8”, 170 to180lbs, short black spiked hair, clean shaven, and a round face. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing glasses, Asics running shoes, faded and flared jeans, and a black t-shirt with red “Raytheon” letters on the left chest area.

At approximately 9:05 p.m. on May 27, 2015, a female returned to her apartment at Dartmouth Court Apartments. The victim discovered the unknown male suspect hiding in her bathroom and yelled at him to leave the apartment. The woman exited her apartment and waited with a friend, who had been standing outside, for the suspect to come out. When the suspected exited the apartment, the woman and her friend confronted him and asked what he had been doing inside.  The suspect emptied his pockets to show that he had not stolen any property and fled the scene. The victim described the suspect as socially awkward and timid.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to call IPD Detective Leticia Hernandez at 949-724-7245.
