Join gallerist and Painting in the Abstract curator Suzanne Walsh along with artist Fatemeh Burnes as they discuss gallery representation versus self-representation. The discussion will also focus on marketing techniques for artists and must-haves in the internet age. The event will conclude with a question-and-answer session.

The panel discussion closes out the Orange County Great Park Gallery's current exhibit, Painting in the Abstract: Women Inspired by the Masters. The exhibit explores the impact and diversity of women in the Southern California art scene while showcasing how they are challenging the medium and echoing the legacies of the mid-century female masters.

Painting in the Abstract runs Thursday, Oct. 5-Sunday, Nov. 12 at the Great Park Gallery. Gallery hours are noon-4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The exhibition and panel discussion are free. Visit ocgp.org/arts or call 949-724-6247 for more information.
