City of Irvine to Hold General Plan Update Community Workshops 10/17/2023

The City of Irvine is preparing an update to its General Plan, a state-required document representing its vision for the next 25 years and beyond. Three community workshops will be held to provide more information about the Update.

City of Irvine to Host Community Town Halls for the New Great Park Library 10/12/2023

The City of Irvine is in the planning phase of a new library at the Great Park as part of the Great Park Framework Plan. Planned for a site adjacent to the Botanical Gardens and the Veteran’s Memorial Park and Gardens, this will be the most versatile library in our City.

Nighttime and Weekend Railroad Maintenance Work 10/05/2023

Metrolink is conducting nighttime and weekend railroad maintenance along the Orange County line between Santa Ana and Laguna Niguel to maintain safe and reliable train service. When rail maintenance is being done, train conductors are required to sound their horns to alert workers.

City of Irvine Offers Training on How to be an Upstanding Resident 10/05/2023

The City of Irvine, in partnership with OCAPICA and Groundswell, will host a training for Irvine residents on How to be an Upstanding Irvine Resident. The training will take place Thursday, October 12, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Quail Hill Community Center.

The City of Irvine has been selected for a 2023 Beacon Leadership & Innovation Award by the Institute for Local Government for the Cool Irvine program. It also received a Platinum Level “Spotlight” Award for efforts to reduce natural gas use as an agency by 38% over the past year.  Environmental Programs
