IRVINE, CA --The Irvine Police Department in California is pleased to announce that it has been selected to be featured on the November 21, 2003 “Champions of Industry” segment hosted by respected sports personality Pat Summerall. Aired on the Headline News Network, the "Champions of Industry" series features companies and organizations that are recognized as being the very best within their respective industry.

The Champions of Industry segment will feature some of the innovative techniques and technologies used by the Irvine Police Department to provide service to its customers and to create community value in public safety. City Manager Allison Hart, Chief of Police Dave Maggard along with a number of the members of the department will discuss their vision and insight of a modern progressive policing agency in Irvine. This segment will also showcase various aspects of the Irvine community and its community partners.

The Champions of Industry segment featuring the Irvine Police Department will air on November 21, 2003 sometime between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time on the Headline News Network (HLN).
