Crossroads Area Commander, Robert Richardson

Biography

Bob Richardson is the Irvine Police Department’s Commander for the Crossroads Area. Bob began his  career in policing with the Irvine Police Department after serving as a Military Police Officer in the United States  Army. For the past 29 years, Bob has worked in various assignments at the rank of Officer, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. Those assignments have included Patrol, Crime Analysis, Investigations, Planning, Research/Training, Emergency Management and SWAT. Commander Richardson was one of the instrumental innovators behind the design and deployment of the Department's Mobile Communications Vehicle.

Commander Richardson possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from California State University Long Beach and a Master’s degree in public administration from the University of Southern California.
