Biography - Sergeant Al Murray

Sergeant Al Murray has been with the Irvine Police department for 26 years. As a police officer he served as a Field Training Officer, Traffic Motorcycle Officer, Juvenile and Property Crimes Investigator and a SWAT Team member before becoming a Sergeant. As a Sergeant, Al has worked as a supervisor in the Patrol Bureau, Traffic Bureau and the Investigations Bureau. Sergeant Murray holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Sergeant Murray is a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute and the P.E.R.F. Senior Management Institute of Policing.

Sergeant Murray currently supervises the Crossroads Team on Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
