General Information

Discover the World in Irvine

2014 marks the 13th anniversary of the Irvine Global Village Festival – the City’s largest and most attended community event. Recognized as the best cultural festival in Orange County, Global Village features more than 100 performances on five stages; a line-up of international cuisine guaranteed to transport your taste buds to exotic lands; a bustling international marketplace filled with unique gifts, crafts and textiles; interactive, educational and entertaining cultural displays and demonstrations; a fanciful and vibrant kids village; and a world religions area, providing guests with an opportunity to explore, discuss and expand their spiritual knowledge through interaction with established faith-based organizations from the Irvine area.

Admission and Food Tickets

Festival Admission is FREE! Food tasting tickets are available for purchase at the event. Tickets are $1 each; with tasting prices ranging from 1 to 3 tickets per item. Cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover are accepted at designated ticket booth locations. Prices for sample sized items range from $1 to $3; it is recommended to purchase $10 per person. Tickets are non-refundable. For your convenience, a Schools First automatic teller machine (ATM) is located at the Irvine Civic Center, adjacent to the Irvine Police Department entrance.

Information booths

Information booths are located at the entrance adjacent to each shuttle stop and in the center of the park where the ball fields intersect. 


Lost Children

The Irvine Global Village Festival is committed to the safety of our guests. We recommend parents establish a designated location to meet if a child/parent become separated; however If you are missing a member of your party, please visit the Festival Information Booth located in the center of the park for assistance.

ATM

For your convenience, an Schools First automatic teller machine (ATM) is located at the Irvine Civic Center, adjacent to the Irvine Police Department entrance.


Smoke Free

Irvine Global Village is proud to provide guests with a smoke-free environment. Per the City of Irvine’s Municipal Code of Ordinance, Section 4-10-512, smoking is prohibited and is unlawful in or at any park or recreation facility within the City of Irvine, except where designated. 


Disabilities

The Global Village Festival is committed to providing access to as many guests as possible and provides reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities and service animals. 


First Aid Station

If you need medical attention, please contact a Global Village staff member or visit the First Aid Station located in the in the middle of the park where the ball fields intersect. 


Limited Public Forum and Open Public Forum Area

The Irvine Global Village Festival is characterized as a limited public forum; political messages, membership recruitment, evangelizing and similar activities are discouraged except in areas designated for such activities. An “open public forum” has been designated to reflect City support of free speech. We invite individuals and organizations who wish to share their messages to set-up in the designated open public forum area located on the grass area adjacent to Harvard Avenue. The area is marked by signs outlining the boundaries of the area.


Pets

Dogs are welcome at the Irvine Global Village Festival; however pets must be on leash, interact well in a large crowd and remain in the charge of a person competent to restrain such dog. Owners are responsible to pick up after their pet(s) and for any damages they may cause.
