Federal Government Representatives
In addition to local government officials, many other officials represent the citizens of The City of Irvine on the federal level. Your current elected federal officials include: President George W. Bush; Vice President Dick Cheney; United States Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein;  and  United States Congressman John Campbell, 48th District.

Mayor-City Council Information

The City of Irvine is a Charter City governed as a Council/Manager form of government. 

 

In the Council/Manager form of government, the City Council, as the elected body, adopts legislation, sets policy, adjudicates issues and establishes the budget of the City. The City Manager is charged with the duty of implementing City Council policy and laws as the administrative head of the government.
