Quarterly Programs
Open Space Services offers a variety of programs for people of all ages on a quarterly basis. Some activities include hikes, campouts, birding and tracking classes. Please view the Open Space calendar for upcoming activities.  Register for Open Space programs now!
Programs Offered During the School Year 
The Kids And Nature program is a nine-month long kindergarten care and enrichment program that teaches children to look at the world from a caring viewpoint while showing them possible ways to have a positive impact on the environment. Curriculum topics include: Pet Animals, Local Wildlife, Caring Connections, Protecting the Earth, and Environments Around the World. 
Badge Programs for scouts are offered at the Nature Center. Join staff naturalists as they lead your group through an active, interpretive program utilizing our nature preserve and trail. The Nature Center offers a unique learning opportunity for all scout groups to experience nature in an interactive environment. These programs run 1 1/2 hours in length. Fee: $6 per child and a minimum of 10 participants. Offered September to June.
Summer ProgramsSummer Camp Looking for a fun outdoor summer program? Join us for camp in Bommer Canyon this summer! All camps include discovery walks, fun activities and crafts, and a camp t-shirt. 
Camps in BommerCanyon Eco-Explorers Summer Camp Monday-Friday, 8am-1pm, BommerCanyon Looking for an outdoor adventure this summer? Come to our series of camps in Irvine’s Southern Open Space Preserve. Campers will investigate local habitats, plants and animals, and learn how to protect the environment. Experience the wonders of nature through daily discovery walks and hands-on activities. Call 949-724-6738 for more information.
