IRVINE, CA (January 28, 2014): The City of Irvine is conducting a survey to better understand how residents, employees, and visitors incorporate walking or biking into their day-to-day activities. The survey is part of the development of a Citywide Active Transportation Plan, which has as its primary goal, to improve and promote the use of the City’s extensive network of bicycle and pedestrian trails.
The Plan will assess potential barriers to walking and biking, research solutions to address those barriers, and provide specific recommendations that can be implemented into the City’s active transportation network of trails.
The survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Respondents who complete the survey by February 28 will be entered into an opportunity drawing for a chance to win prizes donated by bike shops and other retail stores in Irvine.
To access the survey, visit cityofirvine.org/survey. All responses are completely confidential.
