|IRVINE, CA (October 8, 2013): Eligible California residents can apply for free specialized telephone equipment through the California Telephone Access Program (CTAP) at the Lakeview Senior Center on Thursday, October 17 form 9-11:30 a.m. CTAP equipment, such as amplified, big button and portable phones, allows people who have difficulty hearing, seeing, moving, speaking or remembering, to more easily make and receive calls.|
To qualify for the program, individuals must be certified as having an impairment of sight, hearing, speech, memory or mobility. Free hearing eligibility screenings will be provided. Reservations are required. Korean translators will also be available to provide application assistance. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 949-724-6926.
