IRVINE, CA (October 27, 2009):  Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued a $50,000 reward this week for information leading to the arrest and conviction in a California court of the person or persons responsible for the unsolved murder of 42 year-old Hong Guang Zhu.

Hong Guang Zhu, a resident of Rowland Heights, was shot to death the afternoon of February 11, 2009.  He had been napping in his vehicle, which was parked to the rear of the retail shopping center he worked at in the area of Jeffrey Road and Roosevelt.

Witnesses have described the perpetrator as a male, unknown race, age approximately mid 20's, and 5'6" in height.  The suspect was said to have been wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt at the time of the crime.

Irvine detectives have been pursuing all available leads, but have not yet identified the suspect in this case.  With the help of the reward offered by the Governor's office, detectives hope to generate new information about the suspect or suspects in this crime.
