City of Irvine Bikeways
Active Transportation Open House

The City of Irvine is hosting an Active Transportation Open House on
Tuesday, May 20, from 6-8 p.m. at Sweet Shade Neighborhood Park (Multipurpose Room), 15 Sweet Shade, Irvine.

The Open House will present an opportunity for the community to walk through exhibits, ask questions, and provide feedback and input regarding biking and walking in the City of Irvine. A brief presentation will be given at 6:30 p.m., and will include an overview of the Active Transportation Plan, existing conditions in the City of Irvine, results of the Walk and Bike Survey and plans for a City of Irvine bike/pedestrian map.

Feedback received at the event will help guide the development of a citywide Active Transportation Plan, which has as its primary goal, to improve and promote the use of the City’s extensive network of bicycle and pedestrian trails. The Plan will assess potential barriers to walking and biking, research solutions to address those barriers, and provide guidelines that can be implemented in the Irvine context.

For more information, call 949-724-6288.
