Sponsored by the Irvine Animal Care Center, Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Fair features more than 500 dogs, cats and rabbits available for adoption, along with pet-related vendors, a silent auction, raffle prizes, Ask a Vet and Ask a Trainer booths, plus much more. |Joyful Jingles Holiday Concert |
Capture the spirit of the season at the City of Irvine's Joyful Jingles holiday concert. A community tradition, concert features a selection of uplifting seasonal and holiday music performed by local choral groups. Admission is free; parking is $10. Tickets will be available at the door starting at 2 p.m., with seating commencing at 2:45 p.m. Guest are welcome to bring a new, unwrapped toy for children up to 12 years of age as part of the City's toy drive to benefit the families of the Irvine's adopted Marine Battalion. |Jeffrey Open Space Trail Opening |
Join the Mayor and the City Council for the opening ceremony of the newest section of the Jeffrey Open Space Trail (JOST). Once completed, the JOST will provide walking and biking connectivity between Irvine's beautiful inland habitat and coast. Following the ceremony, attendees are welcome to walk and bike the Trail. |Tax Assistance Program |
The City of Irvine, in partnership with the United Way of Orange County, is offering tax preparation services at no cost to taxpayers who earned less than $58,000 in 2014. Qualifying taxpayers who live, work, or attend school in Irvine are eligible to receive help completing and electronically filing their tax returns through April 15, 2015. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 888-434-8248 starting January 2, 2015.

This free presentation from the Irvine Unified School District is for parents with questions about kindergarten programs, including transitional kindergarten, and the enrollment process. the presentation can be viewed online one week after the event at cityofirvine.org. Note: adults only; child care not provided. Registration is not required; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Celebrate spring by making and flying kites in Bommer Canyon. Event includes kite-making materials, demonstrations, safety tips and kite flying opportunities in the beautiful canyon. All ages welcome. Adults must accompany children under 18. Fee is per kite. Click here to register.
