Community Helpers Assisting Mature Persons In The Neighborhood
This volunteer program designed to assist isolated older adults in the Irvine community. CHAMPIONS volunteers assist seniors with a variety of services including being a friendly visitor/caller, shopping, transportation, and enjoying social engagements. CHAMPIONS volunteers attend an eight-week training session and possess a desire to assist others in a caring, non-judgmental approach. Classes are offered each Fall. | Tax Preparation Assistance
Trained and certified AARP volunteers provide FREE tax assistance to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60 years of age and older. These services will be available at Lakeview Senior Center February 6th thru April 10th by appointment. Reservations can be made after January 7th by contacting the Keen Center for Senior Resources 949-724-6929. | Foreign Language Translator
You can assist older residents and their families who have difficulty connecting with others or who are in need of services. Without translators in a number of languages, it is difficult, if not impossible for some individuals to participate in our programs and services. | |
