PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES POSITIONS

 If you have a desire to make a difference, attend a Volunteer Orientation to hear about the various opportunities available within Senior Services. 
Volunteer Orientations are held on the third Wednesday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. or 5 to 6 p.m. at the Lakeview Senior Center.

 Bingo
Callers, cashiers and assistants are needed. Some experience handling money is desirable.
    Tuesdays
    12:30 to 3 p.m.
    Lakeview Senior Center

Sing-A-Long Instructor
Provide your voice, enthusiasm and/or musical instrument, (preferably piano or guitar for accompaniment purposes) and join in the fun. Group organizers are always welcome. 
    Mondays
    10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Special Event Assistant
You will assist Senior Services staff with various special events.  Some tasks include set-up/breakdown, decorations, greeting participants, food service, ticket sales, ushering, and more.

Instructor
Teach classes such as fitness, dancing, bridge, and much more.  If you have an idea for a class that you would like to teach, fill out the Program Proposal Form

Friendship Corner Assistant
Friendship Corner is a weekly social with various activities and light refreshments.  Volunteers assist with preparing refreshments, creating and implementing weekly activities, and socializing with participants.
    Fridays
    10 to 11 a.m.

An Hour In Your Day Host/Hostess
An Hour in Your Day is a weekly program providing various activities such as musical performances, sing-a-longs, living history stories, and more.  Volunteers assist with creating and implementing weekly activities, preparing refreshments, and recruiting participants.
    Wednesdays
    10 to 11 a.m.

Afternoon Tea Host/Hostess
Assist with set-up/breakdown, ticket sales, raffle, and socializing with the participants.
    Third Thursday of each month
    2 to 3:30 p.m.

International Crafters
Create handmade crocheted or knitted items to be donated to various charities and organizations.
    Tuesdays
    9 a.m. to noon

Fitness Center Attendant
Assist with the daily activities in the Fitness Center, including clerical work, customer service, and assisting participants on the fitness equipment.
    Available shifts may vary
    Monday through Friday   8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    Saturdays                      9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Sundays                        9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    Rancho Senior Center

Computer Lab Assistant
Assist members in the computer lab with troubleshooting, basic computer programs, and the internet.
    Available shifts may vary
    Monday through Friday   8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    Sundays                        9 a.m. to noon
