 | What is iVolunteer?iVolunteer is a self serve/self help City of Irvine hosted website that provides Irvine non-profit, faith organization and community partners’ organizations with an easily accessible place to post ongoing and one time only volunteer activities. Irvine residents who are seeking volunteer opportunities will now have one place to go to seek volunteer opportunities citywide.
Community Based and Faith Based Organizations can easily submit an electronic volunteer application request to this website. Residents seeking volunteer opportunities will be able to review information about the organizations including links to home pages and review volunteer needs. The resident will then contact the organizations directly to sign up to volunteer or to get additional information.
The City of Irvine is pleased to host this resource for Irvine’s Community Based and Faith Based Organizations and residents. The City will not review applications for qualifications, or match residents to organizations, guarantee placement, or participate in the selection process.
Why iVolunteer?
Through the City of Irvine Strategic Plan for Children, Youth and Families (SPCYF), one of the six goals is to increase Community Service and Volunteerism. Through the development and implementation of the SPCYF, the City of Irvine is dedicating its resources to create a safe community where children, youth and families thrive emotionally, physically, academically and socially. The iVolunteer program will provide an easily accessible way of letting residents know about volunteer opportunities available in the community.
City staff developed a website similar to the city’s iConnect website which connects businesses with Irvine residents in need of employment. iVolunteer uses the same format replacing job opportunities with volunteer opportunities.

4. Education and Arts
