Arts Camp Summer!

Ages 6-12

Explore drawing, painting, ceramics, drama and other art media to establish the fundamentals while strengthening individual creativity in a studio setting. Camp paperwork must be turned in prior to attendance. Includes supplies and Arts Camp T-shirt.
June 24-August 16
Monday-Friday: 8:30am-3pm
Fee: $395 per two-week session
*No camp 7/4; prorated fee $355.

June 24-July 5*  
Time Machine
Time to create! Go back in time and explore art from around the world.  Artists will transport us into the past to investigate art and invention through the ages.  
July 8-19 
Alternate Reality
Take a trip to a parallel universe where the laws of nature are very different from our own.
Campers will explore themes such as changing forms in space, experiments in perspective, wondrous landscapes and dreams.  

July 22-August 2 
Space & Fantasy
Campers take a journey to far off worlds in this space odyssey. Mythical creatures and flights on rockets may be part of your own fantastical world.

August 5-16
Art All Stars
Campers get inspired by famous artists and artworks in this all-star session. Develop your skills and talent with pencil, paintbrush, sculpting and more!

Studio Arts Camp – Half Day Art Camp NEW!

Ages 6-15

Each camp takes place for 5 consecutive days and runs for 3 hours. Week-long sessions include short projects which link each day together. These specialized half-day Arts Camps concentrate on a specific theme or media. Experiment with painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, book arts, culinary, clay and more! Camp fee covers all studio fees and project materials. No supplies needed.
August 19-30
Monday-Friday: 9 a.m.-12 p.m. or 1-4 p.m.
Fee: $200 per one-week session

Ages 6-8

August 19-23
Color Wonder   9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Go on a color tour! Investigate uses, expressions, and meanings of color.

Sculpture Explorations   1-4 p.m.
Young artists create wonderful and fun sculptures with basic materials and lots of creativity.

August 26-30

Book Arts   9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Campers will strengthen their knowledge of art and further develop art vocabulary and skills through the world of books.

Out of the Box   1-4 p.m.
Amazing things happen with a little imagination! What if dinosaurs visited your school? What if animals competed in the Olympics? This fun session will keep you thinking "out of the box" long after camp comes to an end.

Ages 9-11

August 19-23

Culinary Creations   9 a.m.-12 p.m.
This session focuses on foods from France & Germany. Make crepes, soufflé, quiche, pretzels, pancakes and more! Week-long menu available online. Lunch included.

Illustrative Studio   1-4 p.m.
Make your mark! Explore various drawing materials to bring your creative thoughts to life. For beginning and intermediate levels.

August 26-30

Painting Exploration   9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Learn how to compose a painting, mix colors and use brushstrokes. Experiment with the tools and techniques of painting in this dynamic class.

Think 3D   1-4 p.m.
This session includes a deeper exploration of three-dimensional art materials and techniques. Create sculptures by combining found objects and traditional art materials like clay.

Ages 12-15

August 19-23

Artist Collective   9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Join other teens in making art. Get exposure to a variety of materials and techniques, the principles of design, and color theory. Gain a greater understanding of the fundamentals of creating art.
Teen Sculpture   1-4 p.m.
Explore strategies and techniques in creating 3-D forms. Teens will be introduced to sculptural materials,  basic design, tools and idea development.

August 26-30

Culinary Arts   9 a.m.-12 p.m.
This session focuses on foods from Italy and Spain. Make risotto, calzones, sparkling sangria, dessert pizzas and more! See weekly menu online.  Lunch included.

Intro to Printmaking   1-4 p.m.
Explore a wide range of printmaking techniques including linoleum printing and monoprints. Learn compositional skills to design images, compose graphic designs and practice printmaking skills. Fun for all with lots of finished prints by the end of the week!

Studio Arts Camp - Lunch Care

12 p.m.- 1 p.m.     $25

Sign up for morning and afternoon sessions to create an all day experience for your child. Campers will enjoy their lunches indoors or on the shaded patio before taking part in activities such as outdoor games and free play. Campers are continually supervised and will be escorted to and from their studio classes by camp staff. Fee waived for those enrolled in both the morning and afternoon session of the same week. $25 fee applies to campers enrolled in a single morning or afternoon session. Online registration not available.
