Teach a Class for the Community
Do you have a talent to share or a love for teaching?
The City of Irvine's Community Services program is always looking for quality, dedicated instructors to offer a variety of programs to our residents and surrounding community.

The best instructor candidates for our program are individuals who combine a sincere interest in community service with a desire to supplement their existing income.

Additional requirements include:
  • City of Irvine Business License
  • Fingerprinting through the Irvine Police Department
  • Insurance (levels depends to class type/risk)
 

100's of applications are turned in each quarter.

Please review the course offerings at www.irvinequickreg.org  to verify that we are not already offering the courses. We offer a vast array of courses through our online partner www.ed2go.com/cityofirvine

Each quarter, our Cross Sectional Committee meets to consider submitted class proposals. If we decide to select your proposal, we will notify you. If we are unable to integrate your proposal into our current offerings of classes, we will keep it on file for one year.

Course proposals submitted after the respective dates will be considered for the next quarter.

Please review these guidelines before submitting a course proposal:

  • Review our current quarter's Community Services brochure to see if your proposed class is already being offered.  You can view our brochure online at www.irvinequickreg.org or pick up a current copy at one of our community centers or City Hall.
  • Is your class idea being already offered by the City of Irvine? If it is, how can you modify your class proposal by meeting a need that is not currently being met? 
  • Please note that workshops and classes cannot be designed to sell or recommend products from your business or promote your consulting services.

All proposals will be kept on file for 1 year.  We will contact you if we find a need for your program; follow up phone calls or e-mails are not necessary.
