Creative Techniques in Clay
Irvine Fine Arts Center
Thursday, March 25-May 27; 6:30-9:30 pm
Be inspired by the shapes and surfaces found in nature.
Sculpt the human figure from a live model for one class
session, and create sculptural and hollow forms by hand
and on the potter's wheel. Enjoy an excursion to the beach
for a sea-side pit firing. No prior ceramics experience necessary.

basics of food preservations, food safety plus

Each session will incorporate different themes derived
from the California Content Standards for preschool-aged children.

Grow Me a Garden
Northwood Community park
Wednesday, April 14- May 5; 12-1 pm
Design your own flower pot, plant beautiful flowers,
make distinctive garden signs and create a lovely
bird feeder all in this fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Kid's Arts Club
Don't miss out on Kid's Arts Club, a social and
arts-based program for preschoolers at the Irvine
Fine Arts Center! Under the guidance of preschool
instructors, children explore their creativity in this
developmental arts program. Kids are guided through
a colorful adventure where they will be introduced to
a variety of art activities.

Clay Play
Irvine Fine Arts Center
Spend quality time while having fun with your child.
Enjoy a tactile and creative learning experience
using clay and creating playful projects. Parent

Family Clay Time
Families get creative in this clay program every
Saturday morning!  Parents and children can work
together or on separate projects with lots of fun
ideas and guidance by an art instructor. Ages 3+.
Parent participation is required. 
Both parent and
child need to enroll in the class. Fee is $8 per
person.
Includes clay and firing. Register online

with guidance from an art instructor. Media will include:

Balboa park & Mingei Museum
Meets at Irvine Fine Arts Center
Saturday, May 1; 8:30 am-5 pm
The destination is beautiful Balboa Park, one of America's
largest municipal parks and home to the second largest
collection of museums. Visit the Mingei Museum which
exhibits folk art, crafts and designs from all eras and world
cultures. Transportation and museum fee included.

Bommer Canyon Overnight Adventure
Bommer Canyon
Sat-Sun, June 5-6; 11 am-12 pm
Give your kids an overnight camp experience in the
safety and comfort of Irvine. Your child will take part
in good old-fashioned campout activities. Transportation
is provided from Heritage Park Community Center or bring
your child directly to Bommer Canyon (reduced rate).
