(Special Guest Speaker Michael Chang talks to the crowd)

The 2nd Annual City of Irvine Tennis Day occurred on February 23rd, 2008 at Heritage Park. The event drew nearly 1,000 who enjoyed the variety of vendors and teaching clinics from the Irvine Tennis Professionals. Special Guest Speaker, former #2 in the world, 1989 French Open Champion and recently elected to the Tennis Hall of Fame, Michael Chang spoke to the crowd about an array of topics including growing up in Southern California and his experiences playing on the Professional Tour. Overall, the Tennis Day was a complete success and the City Tennis Staff would like to thank everyone that participated in this year's event and hope to see everyone back next year! The Tennis Staff would also like to thank all of the Tennis Professionals for running the clinics throughout the day. Your expertise allowed for the public to see just how good the City of Irvine Tennis Program is!
