Important Notice Regarding the 2010 Building Code

If you are an architect, engineer, designer, or contractor that performs work within the City of Irvine, please be advised that the City will be enforcing the 2010 California Building Standards Code  effective on January 1, 2011. California Building Standards include: ·         2010 Califorina Building Code, ·         2010 California Residential Code, ·         2010 California Green Building Standards Code, ·         2010 California Mechanical Code, ·         2010 California Electrical Code, ·         2010 California Plumbing Code, ·         2010 California Fire Code, ·         2008 Building Energy Efficiency Standards (effective August 1, 2009) All new plan review applications submitted after December 31, 2010 will be required to comply with the new Code. The California Codes are available for purchase from the International Code Council.
