 | Advisories and Code UpdatesImportant Notice Regarding the 2010 Building Code | | If you are a City of Irvine property owner or an architect, engineer, designer, or contractor that performs work within the City, please be advised that the City will be enforcing the following Building Standards effective on January 1, 2011:
- 2010 Califorina Building Code,
- 2010 California Residential Code,
- 2010 California Green Building Standards Code,
- 2010 California Mechanical Code,
- 2010 California Electrical Code,
- 2010 California Plumbing Code,
- 2010 California Fire Code,
- 2008 Building Energy Efficiency Standards (effective August 1, 2009),
- 2010 California Existing Building Code,
- 1997 Uniform Housing Code (Chapters 5,6,7,8,9 and 10),
- 2009 Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa, and Hot Tub Code.
All new plan review applications submitted after December 31, 2010 will be required to comply with the code editions referenced above.
